Steps: |
Cut out small circle on poster board to make the ground for the turkey to stand on |
Cut two orange pipe cleaners about 3" in length each. Fold the first 3" piece in half and then twist to become sturdy. The bottom half should be separated to make a V shape to form the feet. Repeat with second piece of orange pipe cleaner. |
Stick the orange feet into the pinecone about a ¼ from the front of the turkey (the front is the small end, the bigger part of pine cone is the back end). |
Glue the brown pompom to the top of the small end of the pinecone to make the Turkey head. |
In the center of the pompom glue 2 wiggle eyes. |
Cut small piece of red pipe cleaner (about 3" also). Fold bottom piece so that it is larger than the top part. Glue below center of the eyes with larger part hanging at the bottom for the waddle. |
Stick feathers into pinecone closest to the largest end of the pinecone. Before gluing feathers into pinecone, place loosely to make sure they all fit the way you would like. Once you are pleased with the placed feathers glue into place. |
Glue pinecone and feet onto paper plate. |
Place index card in middle of pinecone to use as name place card for easy seating at your Thanksgiving meal. |
