Flowers made from tissue paper
Tissue Paper Flower Bouquet

Tissue Paper Flowers are FUN all year round. They make a fun gift for Mom or can be used as bright centerpieces for parties, and are great in the classroom.

Steps:
Cut several sheets of different colored tissue paper into even squares, 12 inches by 12 inches.

Select the colors for the flower.

Layer approximately 6-8 squares on top of one another.

Fold the sheets like an accordion, about half an inch wide.

Secure by "pinching" the middle with the pipe cleaner.

Loop the end of the pipe cleaner around the accordion center & twist.

Keep one end of the pipe cleaner long for the stem.

Gently pull each layer of tissue up toward the center.

Voila! You have a paper flower.

Extra Ideas:
Make several flowers and put in a glass vase for a fun centerpiece. Use blue shredded gift wrap to give the effect of water in the vase. Fold a piece of paper in half, use your imagination and decorate it with crayons to make a card. Lightly spray the flowers with your favorite perfume. This is a fun spring project that is good for all ages.

* Young children should not handle scissors or glass.
